We have a unique opportunity for a seasoned draftsperson who will be tasked in coordinating the full Drafting process ensuring high levels of accuracy and detail with opportunity to influence the creation of the Master Plans.

Reporting to an experienced Design Manager your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Drive and review the Master Plans with external consultants – providing updates in line with markets trends and product changes
  • Contribute to the development of a CDC compliance design guide for all Meridian designs
  • Complete concept plans in ArchiCAD (single dwellings only) to match Sales requests
  • Review of Sales paperwork and liaising with external Designers to create fit-for-purpose drawings suitable to for lodgement & construction purposes
  • Ensuring all final plans are correct prior to construction ensuring all variations are included
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide design solutions to meet DA/CDC and other design-related issues
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and file management
  • Management of efficient workflow ensuring timelines are met
  • Driving continuous improvement

 

To be successful in the role, you will have:

 

  • 5 years experience in a similar role for a residential builder, with qualifications in Architectural Drafting and/or Building Construction (Diploma or higher)
  • Comprehension of design drawings along with working understanding of the design review and approval process (SEPP, DCPs & NCC)
  • Experience with ArchiCAD, highly desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and proven ability to multitask
  • Ability to manage deadlines and your own workflow
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residence

We are looking for an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our team of estimators. We are growing quickly, your days will be busy and varied with the company operating across Greater Sydney. You will be office based however there will be occasional site visits.

Leading a team of Estimators to achieve the following:

  • Accurate comprehension of scope of works
  • Oversee pricing of sales tenders within budget allowances
  • Preparing BOQ’s and purchase orders for construction projects
  • Undertaking measurements/calculations for construction variations
  • Procuring sub-contractors/suppliers to meet forecasted production requirements
  • Maintenance of targeted gross margin and avoidance of margin erosion
  • Continuous improvement of all internal processes

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

  • Superior technical expertise with experience in a similar, management, role for at least 3 years
  • Experience in residential construction, ideally with Project Homes
  • Proven ability in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Ability to perform under pressure and lead through example
  • Ability to build and maintain strong positive relationship with clients, customers and your team
  • Demonstrate and uphold Company values in Integrity, Performance, Trust and Relationships
  • Computer literacy
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residence

We’re an up and coming New Home Builder building homes in the greater Sydney region. Here at Meridian Homes, we are a family business and we pride ourselves on our team culture, positive attitudes and watching our staff grow. The successful candidate will be focused on guiding our customers on their new home journey.

Tasks include:

  • Managing the operation and daily running of our busy display home, especially on weekends.
  • Working closely with our inbound sales enquiries to qualify prospects and present suitable home options to our customers.
  • Liaising with external staff such as land agents, solicitors and financiers to assist in closing sales in a timely manner.
  • Presenting and closing tenders and building contracts to our customers.
  • Visiting clients and developers on site to assist in the sales process.
  • Assist Sales Manager with reports and paperwork as required.

Skills and Experience

  • You have experience working in Sales with KPI’s i.e. you’re not afraid of targets and working towards them.
  • You have had direct exposure to residential construction in your previous working career.
  • You’re motivated and happy to work autonomously at times.
  • You have exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
  • You’re open to learning new ways of doing things and approach problems with a “lets find a solution” attitude.
  • You are an organiser who excels with their time management skills.
  • You don’t mind doing out of office hours where required.
